    1. Thank you! That’s so sweet. I really enjoy your blog as well. Your recipes are delicious and always make my mouth water!

    1. Thanks so much! The recipe I’m posting today is vegan! Well, everything except the icing…but I think a simple substitution with vegan “butter” and the icing could be veganized too!! I’m definitely going to try to post more vegan options in the future. Thanks for your comment!

      1. I just checked out the recipe you posted today – love it! I look forward to more of your healthy and vegan recipes. I don’t know if you’ve ever baked with avocado, but I’ve successfully used it to replace oil in chocolate chip cookies. You can find the recipe I used on this post: http://honkifyourevegan.com/2013/07/02/10-fabulous-vegan-party-foods/. Other healthy tricks I use are to use beans (yes beans!) to replace oil and date paste to replace sugar. My most popular post ever is this brownie recipe I made with black beans: http://honkifyourevegan.com/2013/09/02/super-fudgy-healthy-vegan-brownies-2/.

Oh, and thanks for following! Celeste :)

      2. Awesome! Thanks for the great suggestions and recipe referrals. I’ve been looking for a good black bean brownie recipe for ages, so thanks so much for sharing yours. Looking forward to trying it soon!

  1. fyi: I am in love with your site! Cupcakes, baking, writing, yoga–you have it all :-) Thanks for stopping over at food for fun for the bacon jam. Glad to have met you :-)

    1. Thank you! The chocolate cake on your blog looks so good all smothered with whipped cream. Mmm! Glad to meet you too! Keep up the great blogging!

    1. Thanks so much! I’ve been enjoying your blog posts too. :) Always great to meet new people with similar interests!!

  2. Just read your about page and we have so much in common. Besides being fellow Eastern Ontarians, Wuthering Heights is one of my favourite books. I reread it a couple of years ago. I came from that part of Yorkshire so it’s dear to my heart. BUT, it’s so hard to pick one favourite book, isn’t it? Of Human Bondage is up there with Wuthering Heights and well, so many more! And I also want to plan a trip around the world. Lovely to e-meet you!

    1. Thanks so much for stopping by! I re-read “Wuthering Heights” just a few months ago and fell under its spell all over again. It is dear to heart as well. I’ve been to England many times, but I haven’t been to Yorkshire yet. I agree, “Of Human Bondage” is one of my favourites too. But yes, it’s hard to choose! Lovely to e-meet (I love that!) you too. ;)

  3. Hi Anita, now, I know you have just done the quote challenge, and I know you are going away for a little while, but ….I have nominated you for the Infinity Dreams Award. I love your blog, and you deserve this award. So, when you have time once you are back to put your feet up and relax, please check out the details of this award on my blog. https://lynnesrecipetrails.com/2016/04/01/the-infinity-dreams-award-and-blogger-recognition-award/
